OGDEN, Utah, Oct. 11, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Suspect Weston Kubbe, captured Monday in Murray as the result of an Amber Alert and the alleged kidnapping of a South Ogden boy, was booked early Tuesday into the Weber County Jail.

The 11-year-old boy was recovered in good condition.

Kubbe is being held on $200,000 bail on charges of:

• Enticing, soliciting, seducing or luring a minor by Internet or text

• Child kidnapping, and

• Aggravated sexual abuse of a child — stranger to victim

The boy was last seen by his family Sunday night at 11, and was discovered missing the next morning by his family. He reportedly left a note for his family members, saying he would be back in a few days unless they called 911, in which case he would not be back.

Police put out word of the missing boy and his suspected abductor, along with the car they were likely traveling in on Monday afternoon. Shortly afterward, an official Amber Alert was issued.

After a car that fit the description and had the correct license plate was located, police from multiple agencies converged on the parking lot of a big box store in Murray, where Kubbe was taken into custody and the child was recovered.
