14-year-old boy in critical condition after being hit by car in Syracuse

SYRACUSE, Utah, Oct. 26, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A 14-year-old boy is in critical condition after being hit by a car while in a crosswalk in Syracuse Wednesday afternoon.

The boy was on his bike when he was struck by a vehicle while entering the crosswalk at 1700 S. 1000 West, at approximately 3:45 p.m., the Syracuse Police Department said in a Facebook post.

A man turning onto 1700 South did not see the child, police said.

The boy was flown to Primary Children’s Hospital.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation, police said.
