TAYLORSVILLE, Utah, Feb. 19, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Taylorsville Elementary was evacuated after a student brought what turned out to be a fake grenade to school Tuesday morning.
Investigators swept the school, at 2010 Mantle Ave., to make sure the building was safe, according to Unified Fire Department officials.
Officials established the grenade was fake and students and teachers were let back into the building.
As of 11 a.m. school is proceeding as normal.
It’s not clear at this early stage what disciplinary action the student who brought the item to school might be facing.
