UINTAH COUNTY, UTAH – August 24, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Ten-year-old Malachi Bradley was found alive and well this afternoon after going missing for more than 24 hours in the high Uintas. Reporters at the scene said the boy had enough energy to hug family members.

A Facebook page devoted to finding Malachi was updated at 3 p.m.: “UPDATE: MALACHI IS FOUND! ALIVE AND WELL!! From his uncle who is with the family on site – ‘They found Malachi!! He’s in good shape!'”

Malachi, who was hiking with his family around 10:30 a.m. Sunday near the Paradise Park Campground outside of Vernal, wandered off in search of wild mushrooms and had not been seen since.

Uintah County Search and Rescue teams began a ground search late Sunday, but it was suspended around 10 p.m. last night due to darkness.

This story is developing and will be updated as soon as Malachi, his family, and rescuers speak with the press.
