PROVO, Utah, March 31, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A new 90-second time-lapse video shows the 19-month construction process for the Provo City Center Temple in Utah.
Progress for the 85,000-square-foot building of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was captured with high definition imagery by Work Zone Cam from February 2014 to October 2015, according to a news release.
The new Temple replaces the former Provo Tabernacle, which suffered severe fire damage in December 2010. Residents of Provo and neighboring areas were able to track the project with views of progress that were made available online.
The Provo City Center Temple, at the intersection of University Avenue and 100 South, is the second temple for the Church in Provo, the 16th temple in Utah, and the 150th operating temple for the Church worldwide.
