PROVO, Utah, Dec. 16, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Timpview High School in Provo is closed for the rest of Monday after a water main had to be shut off.

“During an excavation process this morning, the fire risers were hit causing flooding to occur,” said a press release from the school.

“Unfortunately, to repair the damage the main water line has been shut off. We are aware that this impacts our fire sprinklers, kitchen, bathrooms, water fountains, etc.”

School ended at the end of period four just before 10:15 a.m. and buses took students home at 10:30 a.m.

“We anticipate a normal schedule tomorrow,” the press release said. “Thanks for your understanding.”

A Holiday Dance Showcase scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday at the school has also been canceled, as have all activities scheduled at the building today.
