TOOELE COUNTY, Utah, June 10, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Crews are working to contain a 983-acre wildfire in Tooele County, which broke out Saturday.
Tooele County Emergency Management officials said the Horseshoe Fire, off State Route 196 near milepost 25, was first reported at approximately 4 p.m.
No injuries have been reported as a result of the fire, and no structures are currently being threatened.
SR-196, also known as Skull Valley Road, was closed for approximately three-and-a-half hours late Saturday afternoon but reopened around 7:30 p.m.
At this time officials have not estimated how much the fire is contained.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
