Police Arrest Man Wanted For Questioning In Tooele Arson Fire

TOOELE, Utah, June 21, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — The Tooele City Police Department has arrested the man wanted for questioning in the Tooele arson fire.

Jesse Barger, 24, was taken into custody overnight and booked into jail on an unrelated charge.

On Wednesday, authorities announced they wanted to speak with Barger, but fell short of naming him an official suspect or person of interest.

The Tuesday night fire in Tooele destroyed 10 homes and damaged at least 10 others.

Police maintain it was intentionally set, but have yet to say why.
