TOOELE, Utah, Feb. 1, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A young Tooele man who disappeared Jan. 26 after leaving for a job interview has been found dead in the West Desert, most likely from exposure.

Johnathan Doerr, 19, reportedly called interviewers at Energy Solutions in the unincorporated area of Clive, in Tooele County. Doerr told interviewers he would be late, but then he never arrived, according to information from the Tooele County Sheriff’s Office.

It appears the car Doerr had been driving, a silver 1997 Honda Accord, became stuck in the snow, and he walked away from it.

Doerr’s body was found Tuesday, near Interstate 80 mile marker 49, a few miles from the Energy Solutions office.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to assist with funeral expenses and for the unborn daughter Doerr’s girlfriend is expecting in one month.

The page, which has raised $6,094 of a $10,000 goal as of 10 a.m. Thursday, said “Sadly Johnny was called to the heavens to meet his baby girl. While our heart is broken with grief that he will no longer be with us we know his kind and happy spirit is bringing new light to heaven.

“We know he is holding his little girl in the clouds right now and preparing her to join the family down here. Please help the family carry on his kind spirit through his baby girl. All funds raised will go towards his funeral and baby girl. Thank you so much for keeping this family in your hearts during this difficult time.”
