Utah Artist: Touching the Face of the Lord
Pleasant Grove, UTAH – April 5, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – The bronze sculptures of Jesus Christ created by Angela Johnson, now on exhibit at The Gardens at Thanksgiving Point, are inspired works of art.
Johnson, a self taught sculptor, not only creates these magnificent statues, but instills in them a reverent grace and elegance reminiscent of the old European masters.
In an exclusive interview with Gephardt Daily, Angela shares with us her personal inspiration and emotion about her creations
Having stood beside The David, le Pieta, and others, I see in her work the same grace inspired in many of the great sculptors of Italy, and also having faced the great massive sculptures which reside around Berlin. I can’t wait to admire her work in person. What awesome talent. Something about these works are so captivating.
