WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, March 5, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A Unified Police officer spotted what he suspected was a stolen SUV Saturday night and not only brought in the vehicle, but collared two people wanted by authorities.

Unified Police Sgt. K. Malone noticed the Chevy Blazer a little after 8 p.m., and when he ran the license plate, he found that the vehicle had been stolen out of Midvale.

Malone pulled the Blazer over at 3000 S. 2500 West in West Valley City. It was occupied by two women and a male juvenile.

“They were compliant,” Malone said. “The whole thing went very smoothly.”

Malone said the juvenile, who is related to the driver, had an outstanding pickup order, so he was taken to juvenile detention.

And the passenger, Christina Acosta, had outstanding warrants and was placed under arrest.

Malone did not identify the woman who was driving the vehicle, but said all three people are from Salt Lake County.
