SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Oct. 31, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A TRAX train collided with a vehicle near 600 West and North Temple at about 9:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Utah Transit Authorities said one person, a 64-year-old man, was involved in the collision, but he declined treatment. Officials insisted he get checked out, but any injuries are likely to be minor, officials said.
One witness on the scene characterized the accident as a U-turn that didn’t quite clear the train. Utah Transit Authority has not yet released an account.
Travel delays for southbound riders were expected to be resolved by about 11 p.m.
