CACHE COUNTY, Utah, Oct. 1, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A single-vehicle crash Saturday night on State Route 31 led to a truck and trailer fire, but left the driver unhurt.

The accident happened at just after 8:30 p.m. when a 29-year-old Brigham City man was traveling north on S.R. 91 in a Ford F-250 Quad cab truck, hauling a camp trailer, and came around an area known as the big curve.

The trailer started to weave, and the driver and sole occupant was unable to regain control before he hit the inside emergency lane concrete wall, then jackknifed, blocking both lanes and the emergency lane.

The trailer and truck then caught fire. The driver exited the truck before it became engulfed in flames.

The crash and fire shut down northbound S.R. 91 and closed the road to Mantua until the truck and trailer could be moved. The outside northbound lane suffered some char damage.
