GRANTSVILLE, Utah, June 3, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Two people were critically injured after being ejected in a single-vehicle rollover Friday morning.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce said the accident happened on I-80 near mile marker 85 just after 8 a.m. when a woman was traveling in the left lane and lost control of the Lexus SUV she was driving.

“The woman over-corrected and went into the median then rolled multiple times,” Royce said. “Both the woman and her male passenger were not wearing seat belts and were ejected.”

Royce said both victims were flown by medical helicopter to a localĀ hospital in critical condition, but are expected to survive.

I-80 was shut down for about an hour while troopers cleared the scene. Royce said they are suspecting drug impairment isĀ a factor in the crash.
