UTAH COUNTY, Utah, July 6, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Sheriff’s officials are investigating a double shooting in Payson Canyon in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Utah County Sheriff’s Sgt. Spencer Cannon confirmed that two people, an adult man and woman, have died of gunshot wounds in the incident that occurred just before 1 a.m.
Cannon told Gephardt Daily the shooting took place at Maple Lake near Maple Bench Campground.
“No one else is in danger,” Cannon said.
The investigation is in the very early stages.
