BEAVER COUNTY, UTAH — Two people were killed after a semi-truck rear-ended their minivan on I-15 in Beaver County Wednesday night.

Utah Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Todd Royce said the minivan was traveling southbound at an unusually slow speed when the semi-truck rear-ended it at around 6:40 p.m.

The driver and passenger of the van died on the scene. It is expected their identities will be released Thursday. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.

Sgt. Royce said investigators are looking into the possibility that the minivan didn’t have any working lights.

We will have more on this developing story as it becomes available.
