BOX ELDER COUNTY, Utah, Sept. 19, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — Two people were transported to the hospital Sunday evening, one in critical condition and one with serious injuries after their vehicle rolled on Interstate 15.

Multiple calls came in to Box Elder County dispatchers at about 7:13 p.m. reporting the rollover accident on northbound I-15 at mile marker 382.

Garland Fire Department and Tremonton Ambulance initially were sent to the scene; then dispatchers were advised that one patient had been ejected and another was unresponsive and was trapped in the vehicle, the Garland Fire Department said on Facebook.

“A second Ambulance from Tremonton was then requested, and a medical helicopter was called. 2 total patients were transported with 1 being extricated from the vehicle,” the post said.

Traffic was blocked for about an hour while crews were on scene.

“Thank you to Tremonton Fire, Box Elder County Communications Center, Utah Highway Patrol, Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office, and Tremonton/Garland PD for your team effort in ensuring safe and adequate operations. The crash investigation is being handled by UHP,” the post said.
