Two teens airlifted to Primary Children’s Hospital after struck, critically injured in Spanish Fork

SPANISH FORK, Utah, May 18, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Two teenage girls were struck by a Kia Soul SUV and critically injured Saturday afternoon.

The girls were transported from the scene, at 2300 E. Canyon Road, in Spanish Fork, after the 3:30 p.m. incident.

“Witnesses advised the girls darted out into traffic in front of the Kia Soul, which was traveling eastbound on Canyon Road,” a Spanish Fork Police statement says.

“Both girls  are in critical condition and were taken to local hospitals and then airlifted to Primary Children’s Hospital. Spanish Fork Police as well as the Utah County Accident Reconstruction Team are conducting the accident investigation.”

 The statement, issued at 4:55 p.m., says 2300 East Canyon Road will be closed for east and west travel “for the next couple of hours.”
