UDoH reports 727 new COVID cases, 1 more death in past 24 hours

UTAH, July 17, 2020 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Health has reported one more death and 727 new positive cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

The patient who died was a Weber County man between the ages of 65 and 84, hospitalized at the time of death. Cumulative deaths now number 235.

Lab confirmed cases of COVID-19 now stand at a cumulative 32,572 cases.

Total lab tests performed number 447,806, and increase of  8,278 from yesterday. The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 599 per day. The rolling seven-day average for percent of positive laboratory tests is 10.3%

Currently, 198 Utahns are hospitalized with COVID-19. Total Utah hospitalizations from the beginning of the outbreak are 1,984.

Patients categorized as recovered, defined as still living three weeks after diagnosis, stand at 19,862.
