UDOT announces change in U.S. 89 project design in Davis County

DAVIS COUNTY, Utah, March 8, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Transportation has made a change in the design of the U.S. 89 Farmington to Interstate 84 project based on public input, UDOT Region One announced Friday.

A tweet from UDOT said, “The project team has been working to incorporate public input from the environmental phase of the project, and address concerns including those about noise, wall heights, impacts to property, impacts to views and local street access.

“Using additional technical data, the project team is moving forward with a design where U.S. 89 can go under the side streets, instead of over.”

According to the tweet, the U.S. 89 project team plans to share information and seek public input — online and in person — through the summer.
