UHP: At least 1 person injured in Provo Canyon collision

PROVO CANYON, Utah, July 28, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — One person was transported to the hospital Friday night after a collision between two vehicles on U.S. Route 189 in Provo Canyon.

A news release from Utah Highway Patrol said the crash occurred at about 7:20 p.m., when a silver Volkswagen and a blue Toyota SUV were traveling up Provo Canyon near the Sundance turnoff at State Route 92.

UHP said the vehicles collided, and at least one occupant of the Volkswagen suffered minor to moderate injuries.

The injured person was transported to the hospital by ground ambulance.

It isn’t yet known why the vehicles collided.
