TAYLORSVILLE, Utah, July 20, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Utah Highway Patrol has confirmed that a semi-car collision on the Interstate 215 eastbound Redwood Road ramp in Taylorsville has gone fatal.
According to information from the scene, the call was dispatched at 12:16 p.m., and at least two other people were injured, one seriously. At least one vehicle reportedly caught fire.
UHP Lt. Randolph confirmed the fatality to Gephardt Daily.
The Utah Department of Transportation website says that all eastbound lanes of I-215 at milepost 13 will be closed during the investigation and clearance.
“Expect delays and use alternate route if possible,” the site said as of 1:20 p.m.
