SANDY, Utah, June 21, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Highway Patrol has identified a woman who was run over and killed by a semi Wednesday morning after a motorcycle accident left her on the roadway of northbound Interstate 15 in Sandy.

The victim was 30-year-old Jordan Stern of Salt Lake City, a UHP statement says.

The accident happened at about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, Utah Highway Patrol spokesman Lt. Nick Street wrote in a message to Gephardt Daily.

“There were two riders on the same motorcycle,” Street wrote. “They started to fishtail and laid the bike down.

“They both became separated from the bike, a passing semi was able to avoid the male driver, but didn’t see/avoid the female passenger and she was killed.”
