UHP troopers near Cedar City stop cars, find 42 pounds of contraband, including meth, heroin, fentanyl

CEDAR CITY, Utah, Dec. 7, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Utah Highway Patrol troopers stopped two cars for equipment failure on Friday, and ended up finding illegal drugs.

“On I-15 NB near Cedar City, troopers stopped two cars traveling together for equipment violations, a UHP K9 alerted to the odor of narcotics, UHP sweet says.

“Following a search, we found 40 pounds of meth in the lead car and two pounds of heroin + fentanyl pills in the other car.”
