Unified Fire Crews Fight Blaze In Taylorsville; Family Dog Killed

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah, July 3, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Fire investigators in Taylorsville say a Sunday morning fire killed a family’s dog and injured another.

Unified Fire Authority crews were dispatched to a home in the area of 5180 S. Kingswood Drive (3425 West) just before noon, according to initial reports.

Approximately 20 to 25 firefighters from UFA quickly brought the blaze under control. They say the fire appears to have started at the rear of the home.

Nobody else was injured fire and investigators are have yet to determine a cause.

The home is not thought to be a total loss, though the extent of the damage has yet to be calculated.
