Unified Police issues second missing person advisory for 13-year-old with diabetes

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah, Oct. 3, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — The Unified Police Department has issued the second endangered missing person advisory in one week for a 13-year-old girl with Type 1 diabetes.

Leah Samuels was last seen at 11:30 a.m. Monday in the area of 1000 West 4500 South, said UPD Lt. Brian Lohrke. She might be northbound on the Jordan River Trail from 4500 South, Lohrke said, and may be with 13-year-olds Ralfo Guajardo and Francis Baldenegro.

Leah was last seen wearing winter boots, a blue T-shirt and red pants.

She had her last dose of insulin at 11:15 a.m. Monday, and her next dose should have been at 3:30 p.m.

Leah last went missing at approximately noon Thursday when she was seen in the area of the Utah Youth Village, 1030 W. Atherton Drive, in Taylorsville.

UPD announced Thursday at about 9 p.m. she was found in good condition in Murray after her first disappearance.
