SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Feb. 17, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Unified Police Department has shared an emotional tribute made for officer Doug Barney.
The video was provided to UPD by the Barney family videographer, who was asked to create a video of officer Barneys funeral.
Comments under the UPD Facebook post of the video show continuing community support for the fallen officer.
Officer Doug Barney, of the Unified Police Department was killed in the line of duty on Jan. 17 of this year by a violent felon who fled the scene of a seemingly routine traffic accident. Another officer, Jon Richey, was also shot during the confrontation but survived his injuries.
