MILLCREEK, Utah, Oct. 13, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Unified Police Department SWAT is responding to a barricaded subject in Millcreek on Sunday afternoon.

The incident is going on in the area of Gordon Lane and 4350 South, said a tweet from the Unified Police Department at 5:30 p.m.

“A couple of juveniles were riding dirt bikes near Doreen and Gordon in Millcreek,” UPD Detective Kevin Mallory told Gephardt Daily. “They were confronted by a male who assaulted one of them.

“When one of the parents came out, the male fired a gun at the parent.”

Mallory said the incident began at about 3:05 p.m.

The man, who Mallory said is in his 50s, then ran into a house and barricaded himself inside.

Mallory said SWAT was responding, and negotiators are already on scene.

Gephardt Daily has a crew on the way to the scene and will have more on this developing story as information is made available.
