Update: Evacuation orders lifted for fireworks-sparked Cedar Hills Fire, residents allowed to return at 11pm

CEDAR HILLS, Utah, June 25, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — Evacuation orders issued earlier Wednesday for residents affected by the Cedar Hills Fire in Utah County will be lifted at 11 p.m. Wednesday, officials said in an evening update.

The wildfire, now mapped at 14 acres, is 20% contained, according to UtahFireInfo.com.

Fire crews are expected to remain on scene overnight and throughout the day Thursday to monitor conditions and continue suppression efforts.

Investigators have determined the fire was caused by fireworks.

Authorities thanked responding agencies and the public for their cooperation and vigilance during the incident.
