SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Aug. 25, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police in Salt Lake City say a man was killed Saturday when he tried to roll between the wheels of a moving train like something out of a ‘James Bond’ movie.

Salt Lake City Police Lt. Russ Amott told Gephardt Daily the deadly accident took place about 4:30 p.m. when an unidentified male attempted the Hollywood-style stunt maneuver on the tracks east of Interstate 15 near 900 South.

Instead of making it to safety, however, the man was dragged down the tracks 500 feet by a northbound Union Pacific train.

The Medical Examiner’s Office has taken custody of the remains and will try to determine the victim’s identity.

TRAX service in the meantime was restored by early Saturday evening.

Gephardt Daily will update the story as more information becomes available.
