Update: Meadow Creek Fire in Millard County now at 1,200 acres, threatens municipal watershed

MILLARD COUNTY, Utah, Sept. 9, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — The Meadow Creek Fire in Millard County has burned approximately 1,200 acres and is zero percent contained, officials reported Sunday night.

In an update posted at 9 p.m., Utah Fire Info said the lightning-caused blaze, about 92 miles south-southwest of Spanish Fork, is threatening the Meadow community municipal watershed.

The fire was first reported late Sunday morning.

A type 3 Incident Command team will assume command Monday morning, the update said.
