LEHI, Utah, Jan. 1, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Police in Lehi said the body of a man missing since mid-December has been found in American Fork.

Lehi Police Department Sgt. Thayne Call confirmed to Gephardt Daily that Damascus Dawson, 26, was found deceased, but at this time no more details are available. It’s likely more information will be released Wednesday, Call said.

The family of Dawson said on a Facebook page entitled “Find Damascus” that he was last seen leaving his work at Abra Auto Body Repair at 62 N. 1020 West in American Fork on Dec. 14 at approximately 2:30 p.m.

“He has not been seen or heard from since,” the page stated. “We need your help.”

The page said Dawson left work without clocking out or telling anyone where he was going, and since then he has not returned to his home and has not contacted friends or family members.

Lehi police officials said that Dawson left medication behind when he went missing.

Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information is made available.
