WEBER COUNTY, Utah, Sept. 4, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Weber County Sheriff’s Office officials said a suspect who is believed to have robbed two credit unions last month has been arrested.

An arrest warrant was issued for Nathan Dale Morris, 39, of Ogden, on Friday, a statement from the sheriff’s office said.

Morris was arrested Monday night in Wendover, Nev. Detectives picked up Morris from the Tooele County Jail and he has been booked into the Weber County Jail on two counts of second-degree felony robbery, a follow-up news release said.

Morris is believed to have robbed Weber State Credit Union in Roy on the afternoon of Aug. 24 and the Golden West Credit Union in Farr West on Aug. 29.

Sheriff’s detectives found evidence tying Morris to both robberies, the news release said.

“In both robberies, Morris gave the tellers a note demanding money so no one would get hurt,” the initial news release said. “Surveillance cameras show that Morris wore both his hat and shirt inside out during these robberies.”

According to the release, the suspect fled both credit unions with an undisclosed amount of cash.
