Update: Officials ID contractor electrocuted in South Jordan

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah, Jan. 4, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — Officials have identified a contractor who died after being electrocuted Monday morning in South Jordan.

The deceased has been identified as Shaun Robertson, 50, of Herriman, according to a news release from South Jordan City.

“At 8:18 a.m. on Jan. 4, South Jordan police and medical units were dispatched to an apparent accidental electrocution near Warren’s restaurant located at approximately 3754 W. 11400 South,” the news release said.

When paramedics arrived on scene, they found a deceased individual who was identified as Robertson. He was contracted out by Rocky Mountain Power to do work in the area, the news release said.

The exact cause of his death is still under investigation.

Rocky Mountain Power and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are also investigating the incident.
