HANNA, Utah, July 20, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Utah Highway Patrol has identified the three people killed and one critically injured in a crash Thursday on State Route 35 just west of Hanna, in Duchesne County.

Deceased are Anthony M. Cooper, 69, of Hitchcock Texas; Judith Murray, 53, of Wichita, Kansas; and John Kwiatkowski, 62, of Conroe, Texas.

Jason Murray, 50, of Wichita, was flown to Intermountain Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.

The accident happened at 10:30 a.m. near milepost 31 on northbound SR-35.

“There was a large group of motorcycles, and one went down, and two others hit it,” UHP Lt. Todd Royce told Gephardt Daily on Thursday. “There were three riders and one passenger, three males and one female.”

A news release from UHP on Friday said two of the motorcycles had a single male driver. The third had a male driver and female passenger.

There are no indications of impairment or high speed being involved in the crash.

It appears that helmets were worn by all the victims, the news release said. They were all riding Yamahas, model years 2008, 2002 and 2000.

The crash is still under investigation.
