Update: Officials ID victims of crash on State Route 191 near Duchesne

DUCHESNE, Utah, July 23, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Officials have identified two men, one from Utah and one from Texas, who died after a crash on State Route 191 in Indian Canyon Friday morning.

At about 9:30 a.m., a 1992 Ford Ranger was heading south on SR 191 at milepost 282, about eight miles south of Duchesne, a Utah Highway Patrol news release states.

The Ford crossed the center median and struck a 2014 Coach motor home that was in the northbound lane.

The driver of the Ford truck has been identified as Ryan L. Grant, 41, from Springville, UHP officials said. Grant was the only occupant of the truck. 

The driver of the motor home has been identified as Clark R. Strong, 65, from Richland Hills, Texas. 

A female passenger in the motor home was transported by medical helicopter to Utah Valley Hospital in critical condition, but she has since been upgraded to fair condition and is expected to survive.

The investigation into why the Ford crossed into the oncoming lane is still underway.
