FAIRFIELD, Utah, July 19, 2020 (Gephardt Daily) — Utah County Sheriff’s officials have identified a body found Saturday night in Fairfield as a 50-year-old Lehi man.

Sgt. Spencer Cannon, public information officer for UCSO, said the man left Saturday morning for a motorcycle ride in the Cedar Valley-Lake Mountain area and was expected home by noon.

A father and son on a side-by-side found the body on a road near a landfill at about 8 p.m. and called authorities. The call was dispatched as a medical emergency and, upon arrival, deputies determined that the man was deceased.

“It appeared he had a relatively minor-looking crash, but may have hit hard and suffered internal injuries,” Cannon told Gephardt Daily. “We did not see obvious external injuries.”

The man’s name has not been released yet, pending notification of all family members.

Gephardt Daily will update this story as more information is made available.
