CLINTON, Utah, Nov. 21, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Officials have released pictures of a 3-week-old infant who was abducted from Clinton Wednesday night, prompting an Amber Alert to be issued.
The suspect is the child’s mother, Taylor Webb, who police say does not have legal custody the baby. The suspect’s mother is the legal guardian of the infant, according to a statement from the Clinton Police Department.
“The suspect is identified as Taylor Cheylene Webb,” said the alert, issued at 10:49 p.m. Wednesday.
“She is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds. She has brown hair and tattoos on her collar bones. She was last seen wearing a gray zip up yoga pants with black and white Avia shoes.
Her tattoos say “Exhale the Negative” on her right clavicle and “Inhale the Positive” on her left clavicle.
“The child victim is identified as Audrey Westfall,” the statement said. “She was wearing unknown clothing, is in a black and gray baby carrier with pink and green quilted blanket. She has brown hair and eyes. She is 1 foot and 6 inches and weighs about 10 pounds.”
The abduction reportedly took place sometime prior to 5:12 p.m. Wednesday.
The Clinton Police Department is requesting that residents who live in the area of 2400 N. 2700 West review home and doorbell surveillance from Wednesday between the hours of 2:45 p.m. and 5:15 p.m.
A follow-up news release from Clinton police Thursday said the two are thought to be heading to Modesto, California, “by unknown means at this time.”
Clinton police are working with California Department of Justice Missing Persons, California Child Protective Services and other law enforcement agencies.
Anyone that sees the two is asked to contact Clinton PD through the Davis County dispatch non-emergency number 801-451-4151. Anyone that reviews home/doorbell surveillance and sees anything relevant is asked to call the same number.
