UTAH COUNTY, Utah, July 30, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — Utah County Sheriff’s Office officials said Friday a body found above Tibble Creek Reservoir may be that of a missing man whose car was found abandoned nearby.

“UCSO investigators responded to Snake Creek Road above Tibble Fork Reservoir in American Fork Canyon yesterday on a report of a body found in the river,” said a tweet from Utah County Sheriff’s Office at 1:30 p.m. Friday. “The body found may be that of Darren Przybyla, 38, last seen on July 11.”

Search and rescue teams searched this area for two days without being able to find him, the Friday afternoon tweet said. The body has been taken by the Medical Examiner to be identified.

“Darren Przybyla has been missing since July 11,” said a tweet from Utah County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday. “His car was abandoned above Tibble Fork Reservoir along Snake Creek Road where he told family he was going camping.”

Utah County search and rescue teams had been looking for Przybyla since Monday.

Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information is made available.
