WEST JORDAN, Utah, June 1, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — West Jordan Police Department has arrested a suspect in the Wednesday morning shooting of a man found near the road in a yard close to Jordan Landing.
Police said in a tweet Thursday morning that investigators have booked Victor Gabino Perez, 32, for his alleged involvement in the shooting.
The incident left the victim, who was found near was found near 3800 and 7800 South, in critical but stable condition with multiple bullet wounds to his torso.
The victim has been identified as Manuel Herrera, 31, who remains in critical but stable condition Thursday.
Two nearby schools, Terra Linda and Columbia Elementary, were placed on lockout during the initial search for suspects.
