Update: Police ID construction worker electrocuted on job site in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Aug. 29, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A construction worker who died from electrocution at his job site has been identified by officials.

The deceased is Travis Stoddard, the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release.

Stoddard was found at the Utah State Archives building at 346 S. Rio Grande St. just after 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

“He was a subcontractor for the electrician,” Sgt. Brandon Shearer, Salt Lake City Police Department, told Gephardt Daily. “He was working in an area away from the view of others.”

Stodddard was found on top of a cooler in the building, which is under construction.

He was last seen the day before by other employees. The foreman was then contacted by his wife about Stoddard not coming home from work the night before.
