SOUTH JORDAN, Utah, Sept. 10, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — The South Jordan Police Department has identified the woman who died Sunday morning in a rollover.

The victim is Marian L. Harrison, 61, of South Jordan. Earlier information had put her age at 62.

The accident happened at about 10:30 a.m. at 1300 W. South Jordan Parkway. Harrison, driving a silver Mercedes SUV east, ran a red light, according to witnesses.

Her SUV T-boned a red Chevrolet pickup truck traveling north. Both vehicles rolled onto their sides as a result of the crash, according to information provided by Lt. Matt Pennington, South Jordan Police Department.

The pickup truck had two occupants, both wearing seat belts, and neither was injured, Pennington said.

The truck was carrying a washing machine in its bed. The washer was thrown into the roadway when the truck rolled, and was struck by two other vehicles. No one in those two vehicles was injured.

Harrison was traveling with two dogs in her car. One ran away from the scene, and the other was taken to a shelter while officers tried to reach family members.

The intersection was closed for six hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.
