MILLCREEK, Utah, Sept. 9, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Three people are now in custody and charges are pending on a fourth individual in connection to a home invasion robbery Monday morning in Millcreek.
On Monday evening, Unified Police Department officials identified the three as:
- Conner Veach, 24, charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, and two counts of discharge of a firearm
- Kyle Brady Mehr, 24, charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault
- Serene Al-Abbodi, 21. No charges were listed for Al-Abbodi.
UPD has not yet released the name of the fourth person believed to have been involved in the robbery.
The incident happened at about 7:45 a.m. in the area of 4200 S. Normandie Lane.
“We had a couple of individuals who went to a home with the intent of a robbery,” Sgt. Melody Gray, Unified Police Department, told Gephardt Daily. “A struggle ensued, and somebody had a gun, which, at some point, went off.”
A woman called 911 saying her boyfriend had been injured.
Unified Police officials arrived to find one or more shell casings at the scene, but neither the caller or her boyfriend.
Gray said one person had been grazed by a bullet, and a male suspect had been badly beaten.
“When police arrived, the suspects were gone,” she said. “They kept saying they were going to the hospital, but they didn’t show up at a hospital, and were finally found in White City.”
Nearby James Moss Elementary was placed on temporary lockdown, which later was lifted.
Gephardt Daily will update this story as more information becomes available.
