SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah, Sept. 25, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — South Salt Lake police have located and arrested a burglary suspect after releasing surveillance images of him last week.
SSLPD public information officer Gary Keller told Gephardt Daily the burglary in question took place on Sunday, Sept. 9 at a business located in the area of 2800 S. 900 West. The business in this case did not wish to be identified, Keller said.
After pictures of the suspect and his vehicle were released, police received multiple tips and the suspect was identified as 61-year-old Bernabe Salazar of Salt Lake City.
Salazar was taken into custody without incident on Friday in Midvale.
South Salt Lake Police were able to connect Salazar to the Sept. 9 Mountain West Distributors burglary and two additional burglaries in South Salt Lake; on June 17, also at Mountain West Distributors and on Feb. 18 at Swanson Building Materials.
