UPDATE: Suspect Arrested In Armed Robbery At West Jordan Target

WEST JORDAN, Utah, Feb. 22, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Police in West Jordan have arrested a man who allegedly robbed a woman at gunpoint Friday afternoon in the parking lot of a Target store.

According to West Jordan Police Sgt. Joe Monson, Andre Flores-Hierz, 21, has been arrested in connection to an incident that happened just after 1 p.m. at the Target located at 7779 S. Jordan Landing Blvd.

Police said Flores-Hierz showed a handgun and demanded a woman’s purse. He then ran to his vehicle and left the area, headed west through the parking lot.

Monson credits the public for identifying the suspect. He was located and arrested by officers with the Unified Police Department, and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on three felony charges including aggravated robbery, possession of a firearm by a restricted person and theft of receiving stolen property.
