WASHINGTON TERRACE, Utah, July 27, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — The Mountain Green Fire Protection District shared updated information on the Adams Fire Monday evening, saying the wildfire is now about 86% contained.
“Mountain Green Engine 131 and Chief 131 have been released,” the update says. “Your engine crew was among the many, many agencies that helped tackle the huge flame-front this fire had, burning wind-driven uphill in tinder-dry grass and brush.
“Multiple homes were evacuated as fire threatened structures. Chief131 was West Division supervisor.”
One home was damaged, the update says, and the resident was injured, and was transported to Ogden Regional Hospital, the Mountain Green update says.
“Many fences burned, but many homes were saved by the strong work of, to name a few, Riverdale FD, South Weber FD and Weber Fire District. Other units from as far away as Box Elder responded.”

A Utah State Initial Attack Task Force from North Dakota, pre-positioned last week in Davis County, was among the many other resources, the statement says.
“Mountain Green-based US Forest Service Wasatch Helitack provided bucket drops and a hand crew. Tough day for all involved. Great teamwork prevented far more losses.”
