ST. GEORGE, Utah, June 25, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A woman who was last seen in the area of the Tuweap Trailhead on Wednesday has been found deceased, according to information from Southern Utah law enforcement sources.
The body of Amanda Matthews, 23, was found near the Sand Hollow Wash Trail, near to Tuweap Drive in St. George, according to news sources quoting Officer Lona Trombley, St. George Police Department, who did not immediately return calls from Gephardt Daily.
A post on the St. George Facebook page did say that Matthews was no longer missing. In addition, the Washington County Sheriff Search and Rescue page shared a news article that stated that Matthews was found deceased.
According to the reports, there is no evidence of foul play.
