US-6 near Soldier Summit closed due to flooding

CARBON COUNTY, Utah, Oct. 6, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — US-6 is closed near Soldier Summit in Carbon County Wednesday morning due to flooding in the area.

“Driver Alert: US-6 is closed between Soldier Summit and the US-191 junction due to flooding near mile post 227,” said a tweet from UDOT Traffic at 9 a.m. “Expect delays in the area. Use an alternate route if possible.”

There is also a flash flood warning in place for the area of the Bear Burn Scar until 10:45 a.m.

Residents are being urged to move to higher ground and away from the burn scar.
