UTAH COUNTY, Utah, Feb 3, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Utah County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue team was called out to save a dog after it fell down a snow mote at Stewart Falls on Sunday.

The 60-pound dog had fallen 40 feet into the mote under a snow bridge that resulted from an avalanche, a news release from UCSSR said.

Because of the dog’s location, SAR team members had to dig a hole through the snow, and a team member was lowered down to reach the dog.

The rescue took five hours, and the dog was brought up in good shape and happy to be back with its very grateful humans.
