Utah COVID-19 update: 2 deaths, 394 new cases since Tuesday

UTAH, July 7, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Health on Wednesday reported 394 new COVID-19 cases and two more deaths since Tuesday.

Total Utah cases now stand at 417,653. Total deaths here number 2,387.

The two newly documented deaths were of:

  • A male, between 45-64, Iron County resident, hospitalized at time of death
  • A female, between 45-64, Iron County resident, hospitalized at time of death

Vaccinations now number 2,890,094 , an increase of 5,138 since Tuesday.

Vaccine administrations by all providers, sorted by patient residence

 

People tested in Utah for the coronavirus now number 2,816,448 , an increase of 3,619 tested since Tuesday.

Tests administered number 5,141,040, an increase of 6,632 since Tuesday.

The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 361 per day. The rolling seven-day average for percent positivity of “people over people” is 11.8%. The rolling seven-day average for percent positivity of “tests over tests” is 7.9%.

There are 260 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Total hospitalizations from the beginning of the outbreak are 17,690.
